GO OUT & DANCE! is a set of events organized in Ljubljana (SLO), Zagreb (HR), Belgrade (SRB), Skopje (MK), Sofia (BG), Sarajevo (BIH) and an open invitation to contemporary dance artists in the Balkans and around the world to simply: go out and dance.
Therefore, the citizens of Skopje, together with the organisers and invited participants (choreographers, professional dancers, performers, dance lovers) will dance together and enjoy dance(ing) in the City park (at Školka) from 6pm - 8pm (local time).
In the same time, the citizens of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Sofia and Sarajevo will dance in different public spaces of their cities.
In Skopje, the DJ set of Sonja Ismail will support the dance improvisations of the young choreographer Kire Miladinoski and of the Still Lives-Skopje dance group

We invite YOU to make an artistic statement in public space wherever you are on 29th April between 6pm until 8pm and share the moment with the artists around the world.
We ask you to document your action or statement and upload it on one of this free upload servers or any other server you use!

INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY MESSAGE 2010 by Julio Bocca, Argentina
Dance is discipline, work, teaching, communication. With it we save on words that perhaps others would not understand and, instead, we establish a universal language familiar to everyone. It gives us pleasure, it makes us free and it comforts us from the impossibility we humans have to fly like birds, bringing us closer to heaven, to the sacred, to the infinite.
It is a sublime art, different each time, so much like making love that at the end of each performance it leaves our heart beating very hard and looking forward to the next time.
